Description
Think sun-baked tiles and late-summer evenings: this terracotta shaggy rug curves orange, rust and gold through two wide diagonal waves. Samba Terracotta builds each wave from ombre stripes, parted by carved lines that give the fluffy pile a raised, textured feel. It is a warm, welcoming choice for a living room or snug, and a cheerful one for a teenager's bedroom.
The waves sweep from one corner to the other in graduated bands of orange, rust and burnished gold, a colour story straight from the seventies. Team it with cream or oatmeal walls, a cognac leather armchair, rattan, warm oak and a trailing plant or two; olive green cushions make a lovely foil. At 160 x 230 cm it anchors a three-seater sofa with a coffee table sitting comfortably on top.

Care
Shake out or vacuum on a suction-only setting (no beater bar); blot spills straight away; professional clean when needed.
Tip: use an anti-slip underlay on hard floors. It keeps the rug flat and makes vacuuming easier.

Free delivery to UK mainland addresses. Larger rugs are heavy, so it helps to have a second pair of hands on delivery day.
If your rug isn't right, return it unused within 30 days and we'll cover the return postage. Your refund goes back to your original payment method.

Good to know
Groove questions
How do I choose the right size?
Measure the room and use the room planner above: it suggests a size that leaves 30–60 cm of floor showing around the rug. As a rule of thumb, 160 x 230 cm suits a living room with a three-seater sofa, with the front legs on the rug, and works across the lower half of a double bed.
How do I look after my rug?
Shake it out or vacuum regularly. For shaggy rugs, use a suction-only setting or switch the beater bar off, and work in the direction of the pile. Blot spills straight away with a clean, damp cloth rather than rubbing. For a deeper clean, use a professional rug cleaner.
Will my new rug shed?
New rugs, especially shaggy ones, can release a few loose fibres at first. This is normal and settles with regular vacuuming. If a single strand stands proud, snip it level with the pile rather than pulling it out.
Do I need an underlay, and can I use it with underfloor heating?
On wooden, laminate or tiled floors we recommend a rug underlay or gripper to keep the rug in place and add cushioning. If you have underfloor heating, check your heating system's guidance on rugs and underlays before laying.
How do delivery and returns work?
Delivery is free to UK mainland addresses. Your rug arrives rolled, so let it lie flat for a day or two to relax. If the colour or size isn't right, you can return it unused within 30 days and we pay the return postage.
