Description
Soft underfoot and bold on the eye, this pink shaggy rug sends two wide S-waves rolling from corner to corner. On Samba Pink, graduated ombre stripes form each wave, with carved lines between them adding depth to the long, dense shag. The fine strands carry a gentle sheen, so the colour glows in daylight, a happy fit for a bedroom, a teenager's room or a relaxed living room.
Each diagonal band steps through lighter and deeper shades of pink, so the rug has movement even in a quiet corner. Try it against sage or soft grey walls, with a grey or cream sofa, brushed brass and pale oak. How do I choose the right size?
Measure the room and use the room planner above: it suggests a size that leaves 30–60 cm of floor showing around the rug. As a rule of thumb, 160 x 230 cm suits a living room with a three-seater sofa, with the front legs on the rug, and works across the lower half of a double bed.
How do I look after my rug?
Shake it out or vacuum regularly. For shaggy rugs, use a suction-only setting or switch the beater bar off, and work in the direction of the pile. Blot spills straight away with a clean, damp cloth rather than rubbing. For a deeper clean, use a professional rug cleaner.
Will my new rug shed?
New rugs, especially shaggy ones, can release a few loose fibres at first. This is normal and settles with regular vacuuming. If a single strand stands proud, snip it level with the pile rather than pulling it out.
Do I need an underlay, and can I use it with underfloor heating?
On wooden, laminate or tiled floors we recommend a rug underlay or gripper to keep the rug in place and add cushioning. If you have underfloor heating, check your heating system's guidance on rugs and underlays before laying.
