Description
Silvery, soft and gently weathered, this grey vintage floral rug brings a faded-garden calm to a living room or bedroom. Willow scatters Oushak-style floral and vase sprays across the field inside a classic border, with a heavily washed finish that makes the pattern look gently worn. A low, striated high-low pile adds subtle texture underfoot, and the grey palette sits happily with cool or warm schemes.
In grey, the scattered sprays read like a faded tapestry, quiet enough for a pared-back room. Pair it with a white or charcoal linen sofa, pale oak or painted furniture, polished nickel and walls in soft white, pale blue-grey or sage. The 160 x 230 cm size sits under the front legs of a three-seater sofa, while 120 x 170 cm works at the foot of a double bed or in a snug.

Care
Vacuum regularly on a low setting; blot spills straight away and spot clean with mild detergent; professional clean when needed.
Tip: use an anti-slip underlay on hard floors. It keeps the rug flat and makes vacuuming easier.

Folklore questions
Are Folklore rugs antique?
No. Folklore rugs are new rugs with a vintage look. The Persian-style, Oushak-style, Kazak-style and kilim-style designs are given a heavily washed, distressed finish and a low, striated high-low pile, so they look softly aged from the day they arrive, without the price or fragility of an antique.
What size rug or runner do I need?
For most living rooms, 160 x 230 cm sits under the front legs of a sofa and chairs, and 200 x 290 cm suits larger or open-plan spaces. Choose 120 x 170 cm for a bedroom, 66 x 100 cm for a doorway, and the 66 x 200 cm runner for a hallway.
How do I clean a Folklore rug?
Vacuum regularly on a low setting, working with the direction of the pile. Blot spills promptly with a clean, damp cloth rather than rubbing, then let the area dry naturally. Turning the rug occasionally helps it wear evenly, and a professional rug cleaner is best for deeper cleaning.
Can I use a Folklore rug on hard floors or underfloor heating?
Folklore rugs look lovely on wood, stone and tiles. On hard floors, we recommend a rug underlay to help keep the rug in place and add cushioning. If you have underfloor heating, choose an underlay designed for it and check your heating system's guidance on floor coverings.
How do delivery and returns work?
Delivery is free to all UK mainland addresses. If your rug does not suit your space, you can return it within 30 days with postage paid, so you can see the washed colours in your own light before you commit.
