Description
Rich as polished conkers, this brown distressed floral rug brings cosy, old-inn warmth to a living room, study or dining room. Hungerford wraps an all-over floral pattern in a wide ivory border, then distresses the brown field so it looks gently worn, as if by years of use. Its low high-low pile is soft to the touch, with a slight sheen.
Florals spread across a brown field, distressed in places for a worn, vintage finish, and framed by a wide ivory border that gives the dark tone a crisp edge. It works with cream, ochre or sage walls, tan leather, tweed, dark oak and antique brass. Try 200 x 290 cm under a dining table, 120 x 170 cm in a study, or the 80 x 300 cm runner in a long hallway.
Why you'll love it
- Distressed all-over florals on a warm brown field
- Wide ivory border for crisp contrast
- Low high-low pile, soft underfoot
- The 80 x 300 cm runner suits longer halls

Care
Vacuum regularly on a low setting; blot spills straight away and spot clean with mild detergent; professional clean when needed.
Tip: use an anti-slip underlay on hard floors. It keeps the rug flat and makes vacuuming easier.

Good to know
Patina questions
Which size runner do I need for my hallway?
Measure the length and width of your hallway and leave a strip of floor showing on each side. The 66 x 230 cm runner suits most standard hallways and landings, while 80 x 300 cm covers longer or wider halls. Ludlow Blue and Charcoal is available in room sizes only.
How do I clean a Patina rug?
Vacuum regularly on a low setting without a beater bar, following the direction of the pile. Blot spills straight away with a clean white cloth, then spot clean gently with cold water and a little mild detergent. Avoid soaking the rug, and use a professional rug cleaner for a deeper clean.
Does the rug shed, and how thick is the pile?
Patina rugs have a low high-low pile, so they sit comfortably under furniture and suit busy hallways. New rugs can release a few loose fibres at first; this settles with regular vacuuming. The worn, distressed areas are part of the design and not a sign of damage.
Do I need an underlay, and is it suitable for underfloor heating?
On wooden, tiled or stone floors, especially in hallways, we recommend a good rug underlay to help keep the rug or runner in place. With underfloor heating, choose an underlay designed for it and check your heating manufacturer's guidance before laying any rug.
What are your delivery and returns terms?
Delivery is free to UK mainland addresses. If your rug or runner is not quite right, you can send it back within 30 days with postage paid, so you can check the colour, texture and fit in your own home first.
