Feather has finer, silkier strands in a dense, medium-long pile, so it shimmers more and looks lighter and less chunky than a classic shag. It still feels wonderfully soft underfoot, but with a more refined finish that suits calm bedrooms and relaxed living rooms.
Will a new silky shaggy rug shed?
New shaggy rugs can release a few loose fibres at first; this is normal and settles with regular vacuuming. You may also notice some flattening from packaging, which relaxes within a day or two once the rug is laid flat and the pile is fluffed by hand.
How do I care for my Feather rug?
Vacuum on a suction-only setting, without a rotating brush bar, so the fine strands aren't pulled. Shake smaller sizes outdoors now and then, and blot any spills straight away with a clean, damp cloth. For anything more than a small spill, we recommend a professional rug cleaner.
