What sizes do Highland tartan rugs come in?
The red, blue, brown and grey colourways come in 60 x 110 cm, 80 x 150 cm, 120 x 170 cm, 160 x 225 cm and 200 x 290 cm, plus 67 x 230 cm and 80 x 300 cm hallway runners. The cream and red and grey and mustard designs come in 80 x 150 cm.
How do I look after a check rug?
Vacuum regularly on a gentle setting to lift dust and grit, and turn the rug every few months so it wears evenly. Blot spills straight away with a clean, damp cloth rather than rubbing, and avoid soaking the rug. Always check the care label before using any cleaning product.
Will a new tartan rug shed?
Like most new rugs, a Highland rug may release a few loose fibres in the first few weeks. This is normal and settles with regular vacuuming. The short, crisp heat-set pile is low and neat, so there are no long strands to tangle or flatten.
Can I use a Highland rug on wooden floors or underfloor heating?
Yes. On wooden, laminate or tiled floors we recommend a rug underlay to help keep the rug flat and in place, especially for hallway runners. If you have underfloor heating, choose an underlay suitable for it and follow your heating manufacturer's guidance on rugs and floor temperature.
How does delivery and returns work?
Delivery is free to the UK mainland on every Highland rug. Your rug arrives rolled, so lay it flat for a day or two to let it relax. If the size or colour is not right, you can return it within 30 days, and return postage is paid.
