Description
Traditional pattern, modern restraint: this grey textured tribal rug takes Kazak-style hooked medallions and goblet motifs and carves them tone on tone into a grey low pile. Eden in grey lets you enjoy the character of a classic tribal-style design without busy colour, which makes it simple to pair with contemporary furniture. It suits living rooms, bedrooms and long hallways alike.
Hooked medallions and goblet motifs sit within a framed field, all in shades of grey and carved in high-low relief so the pattern emerges through texture. Pair it with white walls, black metal, oak and a charcoal or cream sofa for a pared-back look. The 200 x 290 cm size suits a large living room, 160 x 230 cm a standard lounge, 80 x 150 cm a bedside, and the 80 x 300 cm runner a hallway.

Care
Vacuum on a low setting without a beater bar, following the pile; blot spills straight away; professional clean when needed.
Tip: use an anti-slip underlay on hard floors. It keeps the rug flat and makes vacuuming easier.

Etch questions
What does embossed or carved mean on an Etch rug?
The pattern is carved into the pile in high-low relief, so the lines sit at a slightly different height from the surrounding surface. It creates a tactile, embossed effect you can see and feel, with the design picked out by shadow as much as by colour.
What size rug do I need for a hallway?
Measure the length and width of your hallway first. The 80 x 300 cm long runner suits longer hallways and landings, while 80 x 150 cm works well inside a front door or in a shorter entrance. Aim to leave a little floor visible at each end and along both sides.
How do I clean and care for a textured rug?
Vacuum regularly on a suction setting, moving with the direction of the carved lines. Blot spills straight away with a clean, damp cloth rather than rubbing, then use a little mild detergent in cool water if needed, testing a hidden area first. Always follow the care label supplied with your rug.
Can I use an Etch rug over underfloor heating, and do I need an underlay?
Rugs can usually be used over underfloor heating as long as your system stays within its manufacturer's recommended floor temperature, so check its guidance first. On hard floors we recommend a good-quality rug underlay, which helps keep the rug in place and adds a little extra comfort underfoot.
What are your delivery and returns terms?
Delivery is free to UK mainland addresses. If your rug is not quite right, you have 30 days to return it with postage paid, giving you time to check the size, colour and texture in your own home and your own light.
